A Wrench in the Works: Navigating the Quest in Arc Raiders
One of the new quests introduced in the Riven Tides update for Arc Raiders is called "A Wrench in the Works." This quest diverges from the usual scenic locations and takes players back to the Spaceport, where Celeste is investigating signs of a mutiny. While the quest is short, it requires careful navigation and attention to detail.
The first step involves searching the buses near the western gate. However, this location isn't clearly marked on the map, which can be confusing for players. The western gate is actually the main road on the west side of the map, situated between the Departure Building and the Arrival Building. It leads towards the Water Towers. At the eastern end of this road, where it connects to the Departure Building, there is a bus located at the junction. Nearby, there is a red and blue shipping container positioned against a rock, making it easier to locate once you know where to look.
Inside the bus, players should interact with the notes that are stuck on the wall behind the driver's seat. These notes will help progress the quest forward.
Locating the Stash of Sabotage Supplies at the Water Towers
The next part of the quest requires heading northwest to the corner of the Spaceport map, where the Water Towers area is located. This area is remote, so it's possible that many players have never visited it before.
Once there, players need to enter the northernmost water tower and climb up the scrap metal to reach a narrow ledge. On this ledge, there is a box of sabotage supplies hidden behind the player. Interacting with this box will transmit its location back to Celeste in Speranza, completing the quest. Additionally, players will find an extraction lift nearby, making the return journey much simpler.
