There have been numerous instances of PC DIY enthusiasts incorporating figurines into their elaborate, RGB-lit fishtank builds. However, Chinese TechTuber Soda Baka has taken this concept to an entirely new level by creating a tower PC that is large enough for a human to work and play inside. What might appear as a figurine in some of these PC images is actually the TechTuber himself posing within the build. The video showcasing this unique project was shared on China’s Bilibili platform.

While the exact purpose of this build remains somewhat unclear, it seems to be more about spectacle than practicality, given the challenges of translating certain details. A short skit in the video, though machine-translated, suggests that the project was inspired by Soda Baka's young cousin being scolded by his mother with a comment like, "You play computer games all day, why don’t you just live in a computer?" This lighthearted influence adds an amusing twist to the entire concept.

It also appears that this could be part of a sponsorship deal, especially considering the increasing demand for air conditioning as warmer weather approaches in the Northern Hemisphere. The human-habitable PC tower project begins with Soda Baka sketching and modeling the design before moving on to the actual construction. The process involves fabricating various large components that resemble case fans, GPUs, AiO CPU coolers, and RAM sticks, among other parts.

RGB lighting is not overlooked, with vibrant splashes of color added throughout the build. Some real PC components are also installed within the mega-PC, ensuring there is something functional once the side panel is attached. Viewers can see Soda Baka sitting at a compact desk, playing a game on the screen connected to the AiO – a modern touch that highlights the integration of real computing elements.

As the build progresses, the heat becomes a significant factor. To simulate PC-scale heat at such a large scale, hot-coal sauna installations are used. Soda Baka even uses a bottle of water to increase the heat and humidity levels. It doesn't take long for the temperatures inside the enclosed computer room (within the PC) to exceed 100°F (38 degrees Celsius).

Since all the massive fans and coolers are fake, the trapped TechTuber must activate the installed 12kW AC unit, which claims to provide 820m³/hr air circulation to cool the 'PC system.' Soon, the atmosphere shifts to feel "like a spring evening in the North [of China]." Whether this was an elaborate promotional video for a Midea 3rd Gen Pro AC unit remains uncertain, but the possibility cannot be ignored.
