Audience difference of 2,800 people... "King's Son" vs "Youmincheol" double act

[USER PARABOLA=Kim Do-yeon reporter] The movies "The Man Who Lives with the King" (directed by Jang Hwang-jun) and "Huminth" (directed by Ryu Seung-wan) are set to face off head-to-head during the Lunar New Year holiday.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, "The Man Who Became a King" (hereinafter "The King and the Man") ranked first at the box office on the 12th, with 83,917 people. The cumulative number of viewers is 1,365,904.

"Hyuminjeok" gave up the top spot at the box office after just one day of release. On the same day, it attracted 81,189 people, and the cumulative number of viewers reached 212,817. It had a close competition with "Wangsanam" but unfortunately had to give up the throne.

However, the audience difference between the two movies is only 2,800 people. "Wangsanam" and "Hyumincheol" are expected to have a fierce battle for the top spot throughout the Lunar New Year holiday period. It is expected that the theater industry will regain its vitality after a long time.

Both works are fun to choose. "Wangsanam" is based on the sixth king of Joseon, King Danjong. It tells the story of a village head who takes care of a deposed former king. The chemistry between lead actors Park Ji-hoon and Yu Hae-won captivated the audience.

"Hyominjeu" is an action film by director Ryu Seung-wan. It portrays the stories of people with different purposes, set in Vladivostok, Russia. The performances of Jo In-sung and Park Jung-min have received high praise.
