Japanese media reported that it is the first time he has appeared in a public event since criticizing Prime Minister Takashima at the beginning of November last year.

At the event, Consul General She said, "Although the recent China-Japan relations are facing a severe and complex situation, China's policy position is clear and consistent," and emphasized, "(China) has no wavering or changes at all."

He urged the Japanese government to "protect the political foundation of Sino-Japanese relations, regional peace, and stability with actual actions."

The "actual actions" mentioned by Consul Shee are believed to refer to the Chinese government's demand for Prime Minister Takashiro's withdrawal of remarks related to Taiwan.

Wu emphasized, "The Taiwan issue is China's internal affair, and any external interference is unacceptable," and "China's position to safeguard territorial sovereignty is firm. There is nothing more important than this."

He also questioned Japan, saying, "For 80 years after the war, they have claimed to be a 'normal country'—does that mean the 80 years after the war were abnormal?" and criticized, "We should deeply consider what this implies for the peace and stability of neighboring countries and Asia."

The social media account "Weiyuantantian" under China Central Television (CCTV) claimed on the 13th that "Takahashi's security policy is similar to a 'war origin' route that is closely interconnected."

At the same time, it warned, "China has the means to respond regardless of the measures Japan takes or the methods it uses to enhance its military power," and "unilateral military expansion will not bring about so-called normalization, and if it touches something that should not be touched, it will face severe punishment from the international community."
