[Busan News] Two research labs of Dong-A University receive safety management certification from the Ministry of Science and ICT
The Center for Core Research on Regenerative Biomaterials at Dong-A University and the Environmental Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Environmental Engineering have been certified as "2025 Excellent Safety Management Research Laboratories" by the Ministry of Science and ICT, it was announced on the 13th.
The Center for Core Research on Tissue Regeneration has proactively established and operates a customized safety management system based on the characteristics of the laboratory, including safety equipment and safety facilities. All research personnel enhance their safety awareness and safety management capabilities through regular in-house safety education.
The Department of Environmental Engineering and the Environmental Engineering Laboratory operate a continuous management system that conducts daily inspections along with regular and spot checks, taking into account the environmental characteristics that require students to repeatedly enter and exit. The department emphasizes safety rules through safety orientations for students, and makes efforts to create a safe environment by improving ventilation facilities, installing emergency showers and supplementary emergency equipment, organizing chemical material movement routes, and providing spill response kits.
