Gyeonggi University 'Global IR Bridge' starts operations... intensifying efforts in Southeast Asian investment markets
Eight companies from the Kyunghee University Startup Support Team participate in the Pre-Startup Package program... Conducting 1:1 consultations with Vietnamese VCs and accelerators. Building a step-by-step support system, from pre-training to English IR creation and mock demo day.
Gyeonggi University Startup Support Team announced on the 13th that it has officially launched a global investment linkage program connecting Southeast Asian investment markets with domestic early-stage startups.
Gyeonggi University operated the 'Global IR Bridge' program as part of the Pre-Startup Package project, supporting early-stage startups in connecting with global investments and expanding overseas.
Global IR Bridge is a program designed to help domestic startup companies understand the investment environment and industry characteristics of Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam, and to build practical networks with local investors. It supports all processes, from pre-preparation to follow-up consultations, in a step-by-step manner, rather than just simple presentations.
The program conducted education on the characteristics of the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian markets in the preliminary stage. Then, it supported the creation of English IR decks through two one-on-one customized mentoring sessions per company. It was organized in a structure that connected simulated demo days to actual IR demo days and investor networking.
The live IR Demo Day and networking event was held on the 12th at the Gyeonggi-do Suwon Convention Center in a video conference format. On-site, eight local Vietnamese venture capital and accelerator organizations, as well as eight companies selected for the 2025 Pre-Startup Package program and graduated enterprises, participated.
The participating companies are (주)Cogniom (representative Kim Gwang-hoon), ㈜FastLab (representative Ryu Jae-chung), ㈜Potential Labs (representative Kim Chong-hwan), ㈜Korean Sisters (representative Choi Young-geun), ㈜Bison (representative Kim Min-jun), The Freshmore ㈜ (representative Jang Geun-woo), ㈜Nubida (representative Shi Hyo-seok), ㈜The Jin Sol (representative Lee Jin-woo), etc. Each company announced its strategy for entering the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian markets based on its own technological capabilities and business model.
Eight institutions, including Campus K, BSSC, Thinkzone, CMC Invest, VSV, VIC Partners, BK Funds, and Nguyen Hoang, participated from the Vietnamese side.
These institutions conducted one-on-one investment consultations for each company three times after listening to the companies' IR presentations. Specific questions and discussions were held centered on the project's feasibility, suitability for the local market, and investment potential.
Yuseong-min, director of the Startup Support Division at Gyeonggi University, said, "This Global IR Bridge was an opportunity to directly check the latest investment trends in the Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam, and the interests of local investors." He added, "It is meaningful because it provided a practical foundation for early-stage startups to gain experience in the global investment environment and to proceed toward overseas expansion and securing investments." He also stated, "In the future, we will continue to support promising startups in their entry into global markets, connect with overseas investors, and expand their networks."
