Choi Ga-on won the gold medal with a score of 90.25 points in the women's halfpipe final held at the Snow Park in Livigno, Italy on the 12th (local time).
Choi Ga-on experienced a dangerous situation during the first stage due to an injury, but he did not give up and successfully completed the third stage. He became the first Korean gold medalist in ski events at the Winter Olympics, as well as the first gold medalist of the Korean team at the Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics.
