Kospi hits another all-time high

On the last trading day before the Lunar New Year holiday, January 13, the Kospi index rose to above 5,550 points during the day, setting another new all-time high, driven by gains in semiconductor stocks. On that day, Samsung Electronics temporarily broke through 180,000 won for the first time in its history, and SK Hynix also reclaimed the "90 million" mark. The photo shows the Kospi and Kosdaq indices displayed on a screen in the dealing room at the headquarters of Woori Bank in Seoul on that day.
