TV Chosun Mistrot 4

[TV Daily, Hwang Seo-yeon reporter] 'Mistress of the Fourth' once again broke its own highest viewership record.

According to Nielsen Korea, a television ratings company, the TV Chosun variety show "Mistress 4" recorded a nationwide rating of 15.6% on the 12th, rising by 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous week, setting a new two-week consecutive record.

This is an incredible rating figure, ranking first in the same time slot across all channels, daily programs across all channels, Thursday entertainment, and weekly entertainment across all channels (2/6~2/11) for nine consecutive weeks. The peak rating reached 16.6%. As "Mistress of the Fourth" continues its soaring ratings, it is expected to show a strong upward trend towards achieving the dream of 20%.

On this day's broadcast, it proceeded as the fourth round of the Legend Mission. The Legend Mission is a challenge where contestants compete solely with songs of legends. The top 10 is determined by combining the results of the first round's one-song competition and the second round's individual performance. On this day, the four legends Kim Soo-hee, Choi Jin-hee, Kim Yeon-ja, and Kim Yong-im appeared as legends, displaying an irreplaceable aura that overwhelmed the audience at home. Alongside this, as it was the final obstacle toward reaching the Top 10 of the semi-finals, the 16 Tractor Queens showed a particularly solemn determination. The episode featured numerous legendary moments and twists upon twists, resulting in exciting outcomes that greatly enhanced the viewers' engagement.

First, a one-song duel between the two people took place in the first round. The first round, which was conducted in a binary choice format where only one of the two people could be chosen, awarded 40 audience points to the person who had even one vote more than the master score of 150 points and the national representative group. In addition, for the first time in the history of trot auditions, the legends were also given voting rights in the first round, creating an intense atmosphere that aimed to capture even the hearts of the legends. The first stage of the one-song duel was Elia and Yeom Yuri. The two visual trot queens reinterpreted Kim Soo-hee's original song "Don't Go Now" with intense passion, and Yeom Yuri won with 115 points to 135 points.

Then, Isona and Kimdana faced each other. The moment of high anticipation from the audience for the battle between the ultimate vocalists. Above all, the two's retro-style visuals overwhelmed the eyes. Choosing the legendary song "Aemo" by Kim Soo-hee, both perfectly reenacted not only the hairstyle but also the accessories of Kim Soo-hee's past. Then, Isona and Kimdana performed their own versions of "Aemo," and the legend Kim Soo-hee was moved to tears, unable to speak for a while. Master Jang Yoon-jeong exclaimed, "Both of you sing really well. There are no flaws in your vocals." The scores from the master and the legend were Isona with 130 points and Kimdana with 80 points. The audience chose Kimdana, and the final scores were Isona with 120 points and Kimdana with 130 points. In a neck-and-neck competition, Isona won by a 10-point margin.

The big match between Yoon Yoonseo and Jeokwoo amazed everyone. Yoon Yoonseo chose Jeokwoo, with whom she had performed in the medley team mission, as her opponent. Expectations were high for the clash between the youngest contestant of "Mistrot 4" and the eldest sister, as well as between a rising star and a legend. The two sang together the song "Goma Inhyeong" by Choi Jinhee. Yoonseo's fresh and cool high notes and Jeokwoo's deep voice caused chills, with people saying, "It felt like watching a concert," and "Yoonseo is an amazing singer." The result was 125 points each. The 40 points from the national representative group were given to Jeokwoo, resulting in an unprecedented tie. Yoon Yoonseo and Jeokwoo, who showed a friendship that transcended age and a moving stage performance, delivered an emotional victory through this dramatic tie.

Kim Hye-jin, known as "Little Joo Hyun-mi," caused a stir at the event by choosing Kyung Ryewon as her opponent, making a strategic move. The two sang together "Miryoun Daeugeo" by Choi Jin-hee, and Kim Hye-jin received an evaluation that "the lyrics were not clearly heard," causing some disappointment. As a result, Kyung Ryewon received an astonishing 240 points, leaving everyone speechless. Veteran performer Yoon Tae-hwa, with 18 years of experience, faced Yumi, a 25-year veteran. Choosing the classic song "Love Labyrinth" by Choi Jin-hee, the two impressed with overwhelming vocal power and technique, receiving high praise such as "an extremely excellent performance." The result was 90 points in the 160s, with Yoon Tae-hwa emerging victorious.

The match between senior and junior high school students, Hong Sung-yoon and Kim San-ha, also attracted attention. Hong Sung-yoon, who is making a remarkable performance in his first audition, reached the top position in the national support vote of the sixth week, showing an extraordinary momentum. With Hong Sung-yoon's strong momentum, he chose his senior high school student Kim San-ha as his opponent. The two selected "Hwadang" by the legend Kim Soo-hee, and delivered a powerful performance that filled the stage with emotion. The result of the ultimate battle between the senior and junior was an overwhelming victory for Hong Sung-yoon with 225 points to 25 points. Legend Kim Soo-hee commented, "In adult songs, you have to express all love and breakups within three minutes. I sang this song while keeping it in my heart, but both of you sang it as if throwing it away. Everyone has different ways of painting, and I really liked both of your interpretations."

Trot idol Heo Chan-mi, in her 18th year of debut, selected Chae Yoon, and the two performed "Yeolduljul" by Kim Yong-im. The two delivered a performance of "Yeolduljul" that no one could have anticipated. In particular, Jo Young-hoon said, "Every time I watch, I'm always surprised. I'm amazed at how she comes out with such a big knife every round." As a result, Heo Chan-mi led with 185 points to 65 points. Jeong Hye-rin and Jang Hye-ri completed Kim Yeon-ja's "Bamyeolcha" with an energetic stage performance. Since the two have similar names and even similar singing styles and voices, the masters found it hard to choose between them, exclaiming, "It's so hard to decide!" The result was 170 points to 80 points, with Jeong Hye-rin's victory.

Midway through the first round, the rankings were: 1st Yeo-yeo-won, 2nd Hong Sung-yoon, 3rd Heo Chan-mi, 4th Jeong Hae-rin, 5th Yoon Tae-hwa, 6th Yeom Yu-ri, 7th Lee So-na, 8th Yoon Yun-seo and Jik Wu, and 10th Kim Da-na. From 11th to 16th, Elia, Yumi, Jang Hye-li, Chae Yoon, Kim San-ha, and Kim Hye-jin will have to give their all in the second round in order to secure 10th place. The second round was a scoring system, not a binary choice, with a total of 1750 points at stake. Only the top 10 participants based on the combined scores of the first and second rounds will advance to the semi-finals. The second round, which has higher points at stake than the first round, offers an opportunity for reversal for those outside the top 10.

Kim Dana, who ranked 10th in the first round, made her solo debut. Kim Dana chose "Youngdong Blues" by Kim Ye-ja. She said, "I've heard many times that I do well, but my results weren't good. This is a hard-earned opportunity, so I really want to go up." However, she received a regretful comment from Kim Hee-jae: "If there were no improvisation and no prelude, she could have shown more power of the original song." On the other hand, legend Kim Ye-ja said, "She sang even the three high notes that I can't do. I was very satisfied." Kim Dana's score was 1361 points.

Then, Kim Hye-jin, who was pointed out in the first round, took the stage after receiving a shocking score of 10 points. In the second round, Kim Hye-jin needs to get a high score to enter the stable zone. Kim Hye-jin sang "The Rope of Love" and received 1331 points. Following that, Elyse, who ranked 11th in the first round, took the stage. She just needs 5 more points to overtake Kim Da-na in 10th place.

We are just one step away from the semi-finals. A legendary mission filled with intense competitions among the 16 Tron Queens striving to secure a spot in the top 10, and legendary moments. Will the top performers of the first round, Gilyeo-won, Hong Sung-yun, and Heo Chan-mi, be able to solidify their positions in the second round? Broadcast every Thursday night at 10 PM.
