Oppo Bubble Screen Now Works with iPhones

Oppo is taking its unique Bubble selfie screen to a wider audience, including iPhone users. This innovative accessory offers a stylish and practical way to enhance photo-taking experiences while adding a personal touch to your phone. Initially introduced as a magnetic add-on for Oppo devices, the Bubble is now officially compatible with iPhones. Pre-orders are available now, with sales beginning on July 6. The price is set at 499 Yuan, which translates to approximately $70–75 USD.

So what exactly is the Bubble? It's a compact, thin circular AMOLED screen measuring about 1.73 inches. This device magnetically attaches to the back of your phone and provides a live preview from the rear camera. This feature allows users to frame shots more effectively, check lighting conditions, and capture better expressions without the hassle of using the front camera. Additionally, the Bubble can trigger the shutter from up to 10 meters away wirelessly. Its built-in 550mAh battery ensures around 9.66 hours of use, and its lightweight design—just 27.5g and 7mm thick—makes it easy to carry.

Beyond its functional benefits, the Bubble also serves as a fashion accessory. It can be paired with special cases and used as a bag charm or decorative piece. The screen supports custom wallpapers, both static and animated, allowing it to match your outfit or mood. Oppo refers to this feature as “Mag E-Badge” mode, essentially transforming the device into a dynamic personal statement.

The Bubble was first launched alongside Oppo’s Reno and Find X series. However, the new version adds compatibility with iPhone X and newer models running iOS 15.0 or higher. It uses a MagSafe-like magnetic attachment and comes with a companion app, making it user-friendly across different ecosystems.

While there are other similar gadgets on the market, such as Insta360’s Snap, Oppo’s Bubble stands out due to its slim design, strong wireless range, and emphasis on customization. The OPPO Bubble is currently available in China for 499 yuan (around $70–75) and in select global markets.
