[USER PARABOLAㅣNonsan=Kim Hyung-jung reporter] The Nonsan City announced on the 13th that it will implement a "Comprehensive Safety Management Plan for the Lunar New Year Holidays" to ensure citizen safety and minimize daily inconveniences during the holiday period.
The Nonsan City government held an expanded meeting on February 1st, and conducted a pre-inspection of the comprehensive measures to prevent disasters and safety accidents during the Lunar New Year holiday period, as well as to improve citizens' convenience. The meeting was chaired by Park Sung-hyun, Mayor of Nonsan.
The poem will focus on five areas: strengthening the system for medical, disaster, and emergency safety, improving road traffic safety and public transportation convenience, managing price stability and reducing living costs, improving the environment in daily life, and establishing a strict civil service discipline, and will implement specific measures.
The city plans to maintain an emergency duty system by field, and strengthen situation management in areas such as disaster and safety, health and epidemic prevention, environmental management, transportation, and daily citizen complaints. In particular, to prevent gaps in emergency medical services, 69 hospitals and clinics and 39 pharmacies will be designated for operation, and the Yeonsan City Health Center will operate normally.
In addition, pre-emptive safety inspections will be conducted at facilities vulnerable to accidents such as traditional markets, multi-use facilities, and transportation facilities, and the cooperation system among relevant agencies will be strengthened to ensure a rapid response in case of an accident.
Along with this, we will carry out guidance activities for managing household waste and preventing illegal dumping, and plan to respond quickly to various daily complaints that occur during the holiday period. Regarding vulnerable groups and elderly people living alone who spend holidays alone, we will conduct check-ups on their well-being and daily safety, and take steps to resolve welfare blind spots.
Mayor Baek Sung-hyeon said, "The Lunar New Year holiday is a crucial time concerning citizens' safety, so prior inspections and thorough preparations are most important. Each department should carefully check their respective response systems and do their best to ensure citizens can spend the holiday safely."
The city of Nonsan plans to focus its administrative efforts on ensuring citizen safety and stable living conditions by improving shortcomings before the Lunar New Year holiday, maintaining situation management and emergency response systems during the holiday period.
