Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics have announced special arrangements to ensure that customers can still access repair services for their smartphones and home appliances during the Lunar New Year holiday period. These emergency repair services are designed to accommodate urgent needs, allowing consumers to continue using their devices without significant disruption.
Samsung Electronics’ Service Plan
Samsung Electronics will maintain its nationwide service centers throughout the holiday. On February 14th, which marks the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday, all 169 service centers will operate normally. This includes on-site services, ensuring that customers can receive assistance as usual.
For the following days, on February 15th and 18th, a select number of weekend care centers will be available for inspections of smartphones, tablets, and wearable products. These include locations such as Samsung Gangnam, Hongdae, and Jungdong. Additionally, four immediate service locations—Samsung Store Sangdo and The Hyundai Seoul—are also offering services. Reservations for these weekend care centers can be made through the official website or by contacting the customer service center.
The operating hours for the weekend care centers are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the Samsung Gangnam Service Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The four immediate service locations will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On February 16th (Monday), the day before the Lunar New Year, and February 17th (Tuesday), the actual Lunar New Year’s Day, all service centers will be closed. However, Samsung Electronics has committed to providing an "emergency on-site service" for those with urgent repair needs.
LG Electronics’ Continuous Support
LG Electronics is also maintaining its standard 24-hour consultation and on-site repair services for emergency cases during the holiday. This ensures that customers can reach out for help at any time, regardless of the holiday schedule.
In addition, for those seeking basic consultations, LG Electronics offers a chatbot service that is available even when the customer service center is closed. This provides a convenient alternative for customers who may not require in-depth assistance but need quick answers to their questions.

In addition to the repair services, there are some promotional offers available for customers. One such offer is a membership plan priced at 5,900 won per month. For newspaper readers, this plan is available at a reduced rate of 2,900 won.
