T1, MOU with the Navy Power Analysis Test Evaluation Unit... Cooperation in Game-Based Tactical Research

[TUSER PARABOLA= Sang-gyu Park, reporter] T1 announced on the 13th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Republic of Korea Navy Power Analysis Test Evaluation Unit to respond to future digital operational environments.

This agreement was initiated to enhance the Navy's capabilities in cognitive, command and control, analysis modeling, and simulation (M&S), and to explore joint development by integrating data and technology from the e-sports and gaming industries.

At the signing ceremony, more than 10 officials from both organizations, including Kim Hyung-jun, head of the Navy's Power Analysis Test Evaluation Division, and An Woong-ki, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of T1, attended.

The two organizations plan to expand cooperation in areas including activating the gaming functions of the Navy's M&S model, researching methods to apply e-sports tactics to the development of naval tactics, conducting joint research on tactical analysis based on game data, and co-hosting academic conferences and seminars.

Ahn Woong-ki, COO of T1, said, "I expect the strategic thinking and data analysis capabilities of e-sports to be integrated with the defense sector."
