Ulsan Police Install Anti-Scam Lines in Front of ATMs at All Financial Institutions in Ulsan

(Ulsan=TUSER PARABOLA) Park Jeong-hyun, reporter = Ulsan Police Agency announced on the 13th that it has installed "Voice Phishing Prevention Stop Line" in 404 local financial institutions to prevent voice phishing victims.

The police said that they attached a stop line on the floor in front of the ATM, which has the key words of phishing crimes such as impersonation of institutions and loan fraud, as well as new methods.

The police explained that they have established a "psychological braking device" by providing strong visual warnings just before accessing ATMs, focusing on the fact that phishing victims, in a confused state due to the crime situation, tend to make transfers or withdrawals without proper judgment.

This stop line installation started from the suggestion of the on-site police officer.

Yoo Yoon-jong, head of the Ulsan Police Agency, said, "I will continue to strive to utilize the ideas from the field as policies that strengthen citizens' safety."
