Dongdaemun District Helps 'Proper Posture' with AI

Seoul Dongdaemun District (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyeong) announced on the 13th that it has introduced a body shape analysis and gait inspection service based on AI, becoming the first in Seoul to do so.
The service named "Proper Posture Guidance Room" utilizes an AI-based real-time responsive posture and gait analysis system to accurately measure an individual's body alignment status and movement patterns.
It conducts a one-stop process, starting with posture analysis to identify musculoskeletal imbalances such as turtle neck, spinal curvature, and pelvic asymmetry, followed by gait analysis to check for incorrect walking habits, uneven weight distribution, step length, and gait speed, and then proceeds with personalized gait training.
In addition, it provides proper posture education and gait correction training based on the analysis results, not just measuring. It is expected to help prevent musculoskeletal diseases and reduce the risk of falling, contributing to safety in daily life.
The service is available for residents of Dongdaemun District aged 10 and above, and it is a 100% pre-booking system. Reservations can be made through the KakaoTalk channel "Dongdaemun Life Becomes Exercise."
A local official said, "Incorrect posture and walking habits from childhood to adulthood and the elderly can lead to various musculoskeletal diseases," and "we will actively support residents in accurately understanding their physical condition through AI-based scientific analysis, and practice proper movement."
